He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Gama Filho - UGF (1988), degree in History from Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro-UERJ(1993), Master degree in Social History from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (2000) working in the area of Ancient History - Egyptology. PhD in Cultural History at UNICAMP researching the Greco-Roman Egypt using the Archaeology and Architecture as a basis for research,

Coordinator at Nucleo de Estudos em Historia Medieval, Antiga e Arqueologia Transdisciplinar – NEHMAAT (Center for Middle Age, Ancient History and Archaeology), Assistant Professor at Nucleo de Estudos da Antiguidade (NEA-UERJ the Center for Ancient Studies at the State University of Rio de Janeiro). Member of CEIA-UFF.

He has experience in history, with emphasis on Ancient History, Medieval History and History of Rio de Janeiro, working mainly in the following areas: ancient Egypt, Egyptology, Egiptosofia, Egyptomania, Ptolemaic and Roman Egypt, Ancient History, Archaeology Cognitive, religion, power, legitimacy, iconography, cultural practices in ancient world and in Rio de Janeiro.
